My story
Hi there,
Thanks for taking a look at my work :)
I thought I should give you a little background on my education and who am I ? I'm a 24 years old Vietnamese migrant who came to Australia in 2017 to commence my degree in Commerce with a lot of uncertainty about my career path. I didn't have a single plan to study design or other creative specialties, despite the fact that I've always had a compelling interest to be creative in lifestyle and ways of thinking. As a kid, I enjoyed making art like most of the kids out there and find myself becoming extremely drawn into housing interior when I turned 13 or so. However, surprisingly enough I decided to go for business school instead when time has come for me to decide on what to do at after high school, as all I was being advised with was to choose a safer pathway and interior design is not a prospect. Regardless of many indecisive moments, here I am graduating from Monash University's Design and Business school in 2022, full of excitements to take off my passion and what I've longed-for in so many years.
My so to design "manifesto" is " To design the irrational rationally, radical design doesn't have to be less competent or practical, it alters perspective for the greater causes and connect the community in a less obvious way if being created with dedication".
My personal aesthetic in interior is the bold Scandinavian style intertwining tranquil Japandi interior.
My strengths and probably what I enjoy doing most in a design process is customer research and design conceptualisation. Empathy is crucial in design, but also a great way to get connected to someone and challenge my creativity in accomodating their professional needs. To me, the biggest reward has always been being able to communicate my concept so that the audience can relate to or feel satisfied with what they need.
Being that being all said, I look forward to being in touch by some of you guys and hope to be a competent contributor to your establishment !
